Grace Pads recognizes volunteers desire to make a difference in the world and to help empower women and girls.
We believe in simple kindness and generosity, however it is also important to ensure that the our volunteer activities make a lasting impact in communities we are serving. Grace Pads mission is to empower women through employment and to create an enterprise for the economic benefit to the country of Malawi.
We have commercial production potential and can achieve large scale impact for the Women of Malawi. It makes economic sense to locally and commercially produce the pads as it simultaneously creates employment, promotes education and effectively addresses Menstrual Hygiene Management.
Sustainability is at the heart of what we do.
Our volunteer program is designed to help volunteers contribute in a way that actually brings about real change and development. Grace Pads is one of the only projects that holistically addresses Menstrual Hygiene and provides all the necessary resources to manage hygienically manage periods.
HOW DOES IT WORK:
1. Volunteers will meet at the production centre in Likuni Lilongwe. Our project manager will be there to greet you upon your arrival.
2. You will be taken on a tour of the production centre and introduced to the Grace Pads team.
3. Volunteers are then briefed on our "Clean& Care" program which covers all essential hygiene information for distribution of Grace Pads Store, Wash & Dry kits.
4. Volunteers will then have the opportunity to purchase Store,Wash & Dry kits for US10 each (MWK7,5000) which can then be distributed to local school girls, orphanages.
